Glorious Factions — Closed Test Terms
Last updated: 2026-10-14
In short: You've been invited to test an unfinished game. Expect bugs, downtime and changes. Your progress, items and test Sidereals may be reset or deleted, and nothing carries over to launch unless we announce it. Test Sidereals are free, have no money value and can't be bought, sold or cashed out. No real-money purchases are open during the test. Report bugs instead of using them, and don't publish exploits. We may use your feedback freely. Taking part is voluntary and unpaid, and you can leave at any time.
These Closed Test Terms apply when you take part in the closed test of Glorious Factions (the "test"). They add to the Terms of Service, the Game Rules and the Privacy Policy, which still apply. "We" and "us" mean the operator named in the Terms of Service. For the test, if these Closed Test Terms and the Terms of Service conflict, these Closed Test Terms apply.

1. Who can take part
1.1 The test is by invitation only. You join a test world with the personal game key we send you, after signing in to your Glorious Factions account.
1.2 You must be 16 or older, as for the game itself.
1.3 Your game key is for you alone. Don't share, sell or publish it. We may revoke a key that has been shared.
1.4 We choose who takes part, and we may end a tester's access at any time, for example for breaking these terms or the Game Rules.
2. An unfinished game
2.1 The game is still being built. During the test you should expect bugs, errors, slow periods, maintenance and times when the game is unavailable.
2.2 We change features, rules, balance, prices and content often during the test, sometimes without notice. What you see in the test may not be in the finished game.
2.3 To the extent the law allows, the test is provided "as is", without any promise that it will work without errors or be available at any particular time. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by agreement.
3. Resets and deletion
3.1 We may reset a test world, roll it back to an earlier save point, or delete it, at any time. When we do, your cities, troops, research, items, test Sidereals, alliances, messages in that world and all other progress there may be lost.
3.2 Nothing from the test carries over to launch unless we announce otherwise in advance. If we choose to give testers something at launch (for example a title or a cosmetic item), it is a gift we decide on, not something you are owed.
3.3 Your account itself is not deleted when a test world is reset or deleted.
4. Test Sidereals and purchases
4.1 During the test, real-money purchases are closed. You can't buy Sidereals or anything else with money.
4.2 Instead, we give testers test Sidereals for free so you can try items and advisors. They:
- have no money value;
- can't be bought, sold, transferred, exchanged for anything outside the game or refunded;
- may be topped up, changed or removed by us at any time;
- end when the test ends or the world is reset, and are not carried into launch.
4.3 Buying, selling or trading test Sidereals, accounts or game items for real money is not allowed (Game Rules section 4).
5. Computer-controlled players
5.1 Test worlds include computer-controlled rivals that play by the same rules as you, as described in the Terms of Service and Game Rules section 11. Part of the test is seeing how they behave. Tell us through Support if one seems broken or unfair.
6. Bugs and exploits
6.1 Finding bugs is the point of the test. When you find one, report it through Support → new ticket in the game, with what you did, what happened and where.
6.2 Don't use a bug to gain an advantage, and don't repeat it beyond what is needed to report it (Game Rules section 8). Using an exploit may lead to a sanction, a rollback of what you gained, or removal from the test.
6.3 If you find a security problem, report it to security@gloriousfactions.com and don't access other players' data (Terms of Service 4.4).
7. Talking about the test
7.1 You may talk about the test and share screenshots and videos, as long as you say they come from a closed test of an unfinished game.
7.2 Don't publish:
- exploits or security problems before we have fixed them;
- game keys, or ways to get into the test without one;
- content we tell you is not public yet, for example in a test announcement.
8. Feedback
8.1 We welcome ideas, suggestions, bug reports and other feedback ("feedback").
8.2 You give us a free, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable right to use, copy, change and build on your feedback for any purpose, without payment or credit to you. We don't have to use it.
8.3 Don't send us feedback that contains someone else's material you don't have the right to share.
9. No payment
9.1 Taking part is voluntary and unpaid. You don't receive payment, a prize or anything else of value for testing, and taking part doesn't make you our employee, contractor or partner.
10. Your data
10.1 Your data is handled as the Privacy Policy describes. In the test this also covers your bug reports and the extra technical logs we use to find and fix problems.
10.2 When a test world is deleted, the game data in it is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes for a world that ends.
11. Leaving, and the end of the test
11.1 You can stop taking part at any time. You can also delete your account as the Terms of Service describe.
11.2 We may pause or end the test, or any test world, at any time. Where we can, we tell testers in advance in the game or by email.
12. Changes to these terms
12.1 We may update these Closed Test Terms during the test. We tell you in the game before a change applies to you. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop taking part. If you keep playing in the test after the change applies, the new version applies to you.
13. Contact
13.1 Questions about the test: Support → new ticket in the game, or support@gloriousfactions.com.
